Description Reports to: Group Human Resources Director Location: Travelling between both our Leicester LE3 5BZ and Nottingham NG8 6PY Sites Working hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Learning and Development (L&D) Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful training programmes that support the development of our employees’ skills and capabilities. Your work will be central to fostering a learning culture within the organisation and ensuring that training initiatives align with business goals. You will be part of a dynamic team that values continuous development, and you\’ll play an integral role in helping our colleagues grow and succeed in their careers. What We Need From Yü Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing: Delivering Training Programmes: Design and deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops, and courses. Tailor content to meet the specific needs of employees across different departments, utilising various learning methods such as classroom training, e-learning, and blended learning approaches. Training Needs Assessment: Support the identification of training requirements by liaising with department heads and HR. Help assess skill gaps and ensure that training initiatives are aligned with the needs of the business. Training Delivery: Lead and facilitate engaging training sessions that cater to a wide range of learning styles. Provide both in-person and virtual training, ensuring that all training content is relevant, interactive, and impactful. Learning Materials Development: Develop and customise training materials, manuals, and e-learning content to ensure they are effective and accessible for all learners. Learning Programme Implementation: Coordinate the scheduling, logistics, and communication of training sessions, ensuring smooth delivery. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective programme execution. Evaluation and Feedback: Collect feedback from training participants and evaluate the effectiveness of each programme. Analyse feedback and performance data to continuously improve training initiatives. Promote Continuous Learning: Encourage employees to participate in ongoing learning opportunities and support the promotion of a learning culture within the organisation. Support Career Development: Assist in identifying potential career development pathways for employees and help create tailored training interventions to support their growth and development. Compliance and Mandatory Training: Ensure compliance with all mandatory training requirements, delivering relevant content and ensuring colleagues meet necessary regulations and standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with department heads, managers, and other key stakeholders to understand training needs and ensure alignment with business goals. Technology Utilisation: Embrace and utilise learning technologies, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), to deliver and track training. Help improve accessibility and the overall learning experience using digital tools. About Yü If you have what it takes you could be just what we’re looking for… CIPD Level 5 (L&D) qualified or equivalent and TAP Certified Experience: Experience in delivering training sessions, workshops, or courses within a corporate setting. Previous experience in an L&D or training role is essential. Skills: Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adjust delivery methods to suit different learning styles. Instructional Design: Experience in creating or adapting training content to ensure it’s relevant, engaging, and impactful. Technological Proficiency: Comfortable using e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital learning tools to support training delivery. Feedback and Evaluation: Experience in gathering feedback and measuring the effectiveness of training to ensure continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business. Knowledge of Learning Trends: Familiarity with current trends and best practices in L&D and an eagerness to implement new techniques to enhance learning experiences. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess training outcomes and adjust strategies based on feedback and business requirements.
