We’re looking for experienced, talented, and ambitious salespeople to join us on an exciting journey as we continue our rapid growth from a new office location in Manchester. You will be joining the team at the start of this exciting journey with the opportunity to have a real impact on the future of sales within Yu Energy. In the role of Business Development Manager you will be responsible for delivering growth in the SME and Mid-Market sectors from a portfolio of TPI’s. You will have experience of working remotely and driving sales through service, developing strong and profitable relationships from strategic accounts within the business utility sector. You will work closely with your TPI’s to ensure our brand proposition, products and processes are fully integrated into the relevant teams. This will be achieved through regular site visits and open lines of communication between you and your partners. You will be the face of Yu Energy with the expectation to remove any sales and operational blockers swiftly and professionally, manage all aspects of your TPI’s performance and develop a strong network within each of your partners to create strong, valuable and lasting relationships. You will work closely with our Internal Sales Team who are responsible for pricing and contract closure. Process efficiency, complex query resolution, pipeline management and hospitality/incentives will all be key areas of focus for you.
What We Need from Yü Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Accountability for strategic growth and overall profitability of your TPI portfolio
- Be the face of Yu Energy with regular site visits, review meetings and efficient query handling
- Ensuring our products and processes are embedded into your TPI’s
- Developing account plans to give visibility of their routes to market, potential value and actions to drive additional value
- Understand challenges and blockers to growth and ensure these are logged, collated, and solutions are managed through to delivery
- Keep an in-depth awareness of your TPI’s servicing needs, and work proactively to address any challenges as they happen, working with internal stakeholders to deliver resolutions
- Lead and own incentives and hospitality to stimulate additional sales
- To ensure sales targets are achieved for your TPI portfolio
- Working closely with operational delivery points such as onboarding, billing, debt and commissions
- Providing accurate reports to both Management and TPI’s where necessary
- Performance manage all TPI’s with an expectancy of growth
- Ability to run your own desk without being micromanaged

- Experience and knowledge of the UK Energy sector (Essential)

- Experience of working within a fast paced Sales Team
