Position Overview

Reports to: SME Billing Team Leader

Location: Nottingham

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

Salary: £26,228 / year

We are looking for a SME Billing Analyst to drive sustainable and operational change to create breakthrough benefits. The role will involve working closely with all departments and regular meetings with senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Resolving specific customer accounts within agreed service level agreements and supporting end to end delivery of the designated billing portfolio.
  • Support the maintenance and smooth running of billing systems, working through system exceptions to resolve billing queries.
  • Account set up of large customer multi-sites in the billing system for group billing.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex billing queries (metering, industry, data exceptions).
  • Liaise with external agents to resolve complex industry/billing exceptions; assist technical leads with producing billing statistics to report to line manager; coordinate billing tasks to ensure weekly/monthly targets are met.
  • Work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Build effective inter‑departmental working relationships; be flexible and a strong team player as the role evolves.
  • Highlight process improvements and support the team in driving change; UAT testing of system upgrades, bugs and new software.
  • Experience dealing with DC/DA/MOP & DNO is desirable.
  • Exposure to industry data flows with an understanding of industry interaction is also desirable.
