Yü Group is a growing UK B2B energy supplier with an expanding national electricity and gas metering operation. As our field activities scale, we are seeking an experienced utilities SHEQ leader to take ownership of health, safety, environmental and quality performance across our UK operations.

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role — operating at Board level while actively supporting field teams. You will shape our SHEQ strategy, strengthen compliance, and embed a practical, positive safety culture across a technically evolving utilities environment.

What We Need from Yü

  • Lead and continuously improve the SHEQ framework across utilities and metering operations
  • Ensure full compliance with UK H&S legislation and CDM 2015 regulations
  • Operate within Principal Contractor and contractor-controlled environments
  • Conduct audits, inspections, investigations and drive corrective actions
  • Embed SHEQ into operational decision-making across dispersed field teams
  • Report performance metrics at senior and Board level
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies including the HSE

About Yü

  • NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent)
  • IOSH membership
  • Senior SHEQ experience within electricity, gas, multi-utility, ICP, DNO or metering environments
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM and UK H&S legislation
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving cultural change
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in the field
