Department: YUR – 2035 – Commercial

Location: Leicester

Compensation: £30,000 – £33,000 / year

Reports to: Commercial Risk Manager

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

Description

We’re looking for an insightful and motivated junior credit analyst to join our growing Commercial Team.

You’ll be part of an experienced Commercial Team responsible for providing credit-risk insight & analysis to support wider business objectives. In addition to this you will be responsible to develop meaningful credit reporting and create insights that support commercial credit risk decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing credit worthiness of business-energy customer applications
  • Putting forward mitigations to reduce Yu Energy’s risk exposure
  • Reviewing Credit Reports, financial statements, profit & loss and Balance sheets
  • Assisting stakeholders with Queries / Support – managing an inbox and escalations
  • Building and creation of insight, MI and data-driven reporting – including visuals, reports etc
  • Support the Commercial Risk Manager to instil further governance around credit risk
  • Actively build relationships cross departmentally, to enhance working relations
  • Own & lead certain work initiatives, by driving & facilitating data-led insight & gaining approval for additional activity that may drive commercial benefits

What We Need From Yü

  • Analytical – Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel, SQL and experience of data Visualisation tools (i.e. Power BI) preferred
  • Inquisitive – Being able to seek out information and not just accepting the first response
  • Organised – Fantastic organisational skills
  • Knowledgeable – Being able to use Excel to a high level to find patterns
  • Confident – Would need confidence to report and challenge gaps found
  • Team Player – You enjoy working closely with a team
