Overview
Elite Transient Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) – Leeds. Permanent full-time role based in Leeds LS postcodes with reporting to the Regional Field Manager. Compensation: £44,805 per year. Hours: Working away – level of transient work (1 week out of 4, 2 weeks out of 4, 3 weeks out of 4) to be discussed.
We’re looking for talented and ambitious engineers to join our rapidly growing business. This is a unique opportunity to grow our field gas and electric metering capability. This role is focused on delivering high quality outcomes in the commercial sector, with an emphasis on customer relationships, safety, and compliance. You will be upskilled to a range of metering capabilities and may alternate between warrants and warrant officer duties with support from our back-office team.
Key Responsibilities
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to participate in field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes.
- Safe installation, exchange, commission, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems.
- Undertake friendly debt resolution visits aiming to install a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt, supported by a dedicated back-office team.
- Undertake Warrant Officer visits to resolve debt, supported by a dedicated back-office team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Essential Qualifications / Experience: Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
- Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- Desirable: MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
- Current Transformer (CT)
- Three Phase
- REGT1-Medium Pressure
- Additional Requirements: UK Driving Licence
- Pass a colour blindness test
- Pass a DBS check
