Elite Transient Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) – Hereford
Department: YUS – FT13 – General Engineers
Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time
Location: Hereford
Reporting To: Regional Field Manager
Compensation: £44,805 / year
Location: Hereford HR Postcodes Only
Hours: Working away – Open to discuss levels of Transient work 1,2 & 3. (1 week out of 4, 2 weeks out of 4, 3 weeks out of 4)
Description: Technical upskilling, full debt training and ongoing mentoring support provided.
Key Responsibilities
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, participating in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
- Responsible for the safe installation, exchange, commission, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems
- Undertake friendly debt resolution visits with the aim to fit a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt (dedicated back-office support team to assist)
- Undertake Warrant Officer visits to resolve debt (back-office support available)

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
- Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
Desirable:
- MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
- Current Transformer (CT)
- Three Phase
- REGT1-Medium Pressure
Additional Requirements:
- UK Driving Licence
- Pass a colour blindness test
- Pass a DBS check
