Do you like working outdoors? Do you have experience in or an understanding of the water production process? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Yeovil production team as a Production Supervisor.
What you'll do
- You will play a key role in leading the Yeovil production team, which operates and maintains our production assets to comply with appropriate legislation and company standards.
- Monitoring and optimising the treatment process will ensure that we operate as cost‑effectively as possible.
- Working under the production manager, you will:
- Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the production team to ensure that we produce high‑quality water of sufficient quantity for our customers.
- Make sure jobs are achieved on target.
- Carry out process risk and team upskilling assessments.
- Comply with all Health and Safety requirements and company procedures.
- Take part in a paid on‑call standby rota, including weekend working, when required.
- Review approvals of the production teams' holiday and overtime claims.
- Take the lead on the production teams' training and upskilling.
What you'll need
- You should have experience in or an understanding of the water treatment process, Scope‑x/Prism and QlikView.
- You will also need:
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in leading a team.
- A flexible approach to work, including working as part of a team and on your own, when required.
- A valid driving licence to be able to travel to a variety of sites in the region.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong planning, communication and prioritisation skills.
