We are looking for a skilled, practical and self-motivated individual to support our Water Recycling team. Within the role you will be expected to work both individually and as part of a team while repairing and maintaining various assets. These include waste treatment process and civil assets on our water recycling centres, including general maintenance repairs on buildings and welfare facilities.
Typical day-to-day duties may include:
- Fitting/repairing doors
- Concreting and general building and groundworks, such as footpaths and fencing
- Installing and maintaining pathways
- Track repairs
- Emergency site security works
- Health and safety works
- Performing maintenance work on our process assets, such as settlement tank cleans and repairs, and clean water legionella tank cleans
- Working on various process plant, including lagoons, reed beds and biological filters
PPE, tools, training and a company van will be provided.
We are looking for someone from a building/groundworks background, who has qualifications or knowledge and experience of groundworks, masonry, or carpentry work. You will ideally be multiskilled and have basic knowledge plumbing with relevant plant tickets to operate excavators, dumpers and other plant (or a willingness to obtain these). You will have health, safety and welfare awareness and will be a self-motivated, effective communicator with personal drive. In addition to this, you should have basic IT skills in order to work with our in-house systems. Most important is the ability and willingness to work as part of a team to overcome any challenges presented on a day-to-day basis and deliver outputs. Please note you will need a valid clean driving licence due to the remote nature of the role.
