We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technician to join our Mains Renewal team.
What you'll do
As part of our Mains Renewal Team, you would be designing/planning Structural/water qualitydriven schemes.
This is a varied, busy and key role. You will be required to attend and present design safety review meetings to proposals and progress to construction.
Responsibilities
- Preparingdrawingson CAD for all allocatedschemes.
- Liaisingwith Project Managers/construction teams, Design Engineers andother departmentsincludingexternal third partiesto agree programmesand timescales.
- Shadowingdesignengineersand aiding inday-to-daytasks.
- Maintain and update relevant highwaypermits.
- Completeaslaiddrawingson CAD ensuringhandovers aresubmitted to GIS. As per thecompany procedure.
- What you'll need
You will have a 'can do' attitude, and will also be confident, driven and self-motivated.
Some previous experience in civil engineering and design is desirable, together with some knowledge of the water industry and relevant technical standards and systems.
A full driving licence is required as this position will require travel between Wessex Water offices and sites.
