If so, we have a great opening for an Asset Team Chemical Operator to join the team.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will carry out routine planned preventative maintenance on chemical dosing assets, along with reactive maintenance when required.
This role will require you to cover Yeovil, Bridgwater, Weston‑super‑Mare and surrounding areas.
You will be involved in a wide range of duties, including repairs, replacements, refurbishments, maintenance, testing, and installation of mechanical equipment on chemical systems.
Examples of equipment you will work on include chemical dosing rigs, peristaltic and diaphragm pumps, loading valves, temporary dosing units, and IBCs.
You’ll be responsible for setting up temporary dosing rigs and transferring chemicals between IBCs and tanks.
You will work both independently and as part of the southern/regional team while repairing and maintaining assets such as: waste treatment, chemical storage, and dosing assets, chemical storage tanks, feed and delivery pipework.
Your work will also include
- calibration and maintenance
- cleaning and replacing components
- flushing dosing lines
- installing temporary equipment
- providing support to our treatment teams
- routine planned preventative maintenance
Training will be provided, however, we are looking for a flexible individual with a can‑do attitude who has high personal standards of work quality which meet and exceed health and safety standards and stakeholder needs.
