The position offers an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team working with a variety of equipment, assets and processes. You will have the opportunity to embrace curiosity and develop new skills outside of your normal day-to-day activities.

What you'll do

  • Every day is different, you will be working in all weather conditions carrying out a range of tasks, to ensure the essential functions of our Bioresources treatment centres.
  • Your day-to-day will include:
    • monitoring process performance, both out in the field and in the control room, using SCADA systems
    • performing routine maintenance
    • taking operational samples
    • optimising performance inline with key performance indicators
    • collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
    • ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of yourself, colleagues, and the public at all times.

You will work an 11-hour day shift pattern of four days on, four days off. Your working hours will include weekends as well as performing standby duties on a regular basis and providing emergency cover if required.

What you'll need

  • You do not need a background in the Water industry. We would welcome applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.

  • You will need to have a flexible approach, with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role.
  • Have a valid full UK manual driving licence.
  • Able to participate in a Shift & Standby rota.
  • Comfortable working with sewage.
  • Undertake mandatory & upskilling training.
