Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have an opportunity within our Water Supply Repair and Maintenance (R&M) team.

This role will see you travel across the Wessex Water region.

Our depot is located in Taunton, but the works are site‑based, and daily travelling will be required.

What you'll do

As one of our R&M Supply Team leaders, working in the Network Utilities team, you'll carry out a variety of repair and maintenance activities to the water supply network, making sure it meets the highest quality and customer service standards.

This will involve installing meters and other supply network fittings, challenging burst water mains, large diameter mains work and temporary works when required, as well as landscaping and general building works to finish sites to a high standard.

You'll be working within a great team, outdoors, dealing with different challenges every day and providing a vital service to our customers.

These jobs involve operating as part of a two-person team.

  • What you'll need
  • A valid UK driving licence and the ability to tow a trailer over 750kg.
  • A current Streetworks licence.
  • Good knowledge and experience of R&M activities, including large-diameter mains.
  • Groundworks licence.
  • 360 excavator licence (above and below 10 tonnes).
  • Experience in temporary works up to 3m in depth.

Experience or accreditation in the following areas would be preferred but not essential, as training can be provided:
