Are you an electrically, mechanically or multi-skilled qualified technician? Do you enjoy working outdoors? If so, we are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and a flexible approach to join our close-knit team of skilled technicians.

Renowned for the quality of its work, the EM&I team provides a 24/7, 365 days a year operation and maintenance of water production sites. Day-to-day in this role, you will:

  • plan preventative maintenance
  • attend breakdowns using fault-finding skills and report on asset condition
  • make modifications to control philosophy where needed
  • manage personal stock and critical spares
  • cover out-of-hours call-outs as part of a standby rota

This role will cover the Somerset area, including Minehead, Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil.

You will be an experienced technician who is self-motivated and can work with minimal direct supervision. You will need:

  • City & Guilds, Btech or NVQ level 3 or above
  • experience working with three-phase power and control circuits
  • fault finding skills
  • a full clean driving licence
  • computer literacy
  • PLC programming and fault diagnosis experience
  • experience working within the water industry
  • experience working with chemical and gas dosing systems
  • experience in mechanical repair and maintenance
  • to be flexible in your work patterns to meet the demands of the team
