Aviva Arena at Brabazon is an ambitious project aimed at transforming the historic Brabazon hangars and surrounding area into Bristol's premier live entertainment district.

It will boast a 20,000-capacity indoor arena, a 10,000sqm conference and exhibition centre and a new social hub.

Set to be the South West's top destination for music, comedy, sports, and entertainment, Aviva Arena promises unforgettable experiences for everyone.

This project is part of a larger Β£3 billion investment in the Brabazon neighbourhood, projected to boost the local economy by Β£1.5 billion.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the team's sales targets, contributing to Β£14m+ premium revenue.
  • Manage an active pipeline, meet conversion targets, and maximise client revenue.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and support revenue forecasting.
  • Generate new business via calls, email, Linked In, networking, and referrals.
  • Sell premium products including suites, memberships, and seating packages.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, SMEs, and individuals.
  • Attend networking events and support lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Deliver a consultative, high-quality sales experience tailored to clients.
  • Support client onboarding, retention, renewals, upselling and account growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, Operations and Catering teams.
  • Represent Aviva Arena at events and promotional activities.
  • Support team delivery during events and client hosting.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and gather client feedback to improve offering.

  • Apprenticeship Information

You will be working with the YTL Live team for Aviva Arena in Sales from the start of the programme.

You will undertake training activities on the job supported by experienced staff within the team and be allocated a mentor to help you throughout your apprenticeship.

In addition, you will undertake around 6 hours of β€˜off the job' training per week across the duration of your apprenticeship, which is dedicated paid learning time to attend workshops and other online training activities.

For the right candidate who demonstrates appropriate skills and behaviours through their apprenticeship, this will lead to a permanent role.

Qualifications

On completion of this apprenticeship, you will hold a Level 4 Sales Executive qualification.

Training provision

The training is provided by Tack TMI (part of GI Group Holding).

The duration of this apprenticeship is around 13-14 months of training, plus 4 months EPA = total of 18 months.

The fixed term contract will reflect this timescale.

Training is delivered through a flexible and structured approach via virtual instructor-led workshops, online learning materials and resources, practical assignments and one-to-one support and guidance.

What you will learn

You'll plan sales activities, lead the end-to-end sales interaction with the customer and manage your sales internally within your organisation.

This is broken down into the following schedule

  • Month 1 – Organisation and Market Knowledge.
  • Month 2 – Product, service sector and digital knowledge.
  • Month 3 - Gathering intelligence, customer knowledge, commercial and financial acumen.
  • Month 4 – Sales planning and preparation. Customer engagement proactivity.
  • Month 5 – Customer needs and solutions development.
  • Month 6 – Negotiation, objection handling and closing.
  • Month 7 – Time management and collaboration.
  • Month 8 – Managing the customer experience and digital skills.
  • Month 9 – Developing the required behaviours for selling.
  • Month 10 – EPA preparation.
  • Month 11 – EPA preparation, project – 5000 words.
  • Month 12- EPA preparation presentation, including a sales pitch, with questions and answers.
  • Month 13 – Project portfolio building and mock professional discussion.
  • Month 14 – 17 – End Point Assessment
  • Completion - End Point Assessment (EPA)

The End Point Assessment is undertaken with the Institute of Sales Professionals and is the final stage of the apprenticeship.

You will participate in the following activities on that day

  • work-based project.
  • sales pitch presentation with Q&A.
  • professional discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence.

You will be given support and mock assessments regarding the EPA.

You can achieve a PASS or DISTINCTION grade on successful completion.
