We are seeking a proactive Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Project Supervisor to oversee and monitor the successful delivery of MEP construction works across major projects.

Once home to every UK-built Concorde, the Brabazon Hangars are being repurposed into a brand-new venue for Bristol and set to be the South West's top destination for music, comedy, sports, and entertainment.

Working collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, you will help drive projects forward while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance and performance to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

What you'll do

As an MEP Project Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day site operations.

You'll oversee the progress of construction works to ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications and contractual requirements, in accordance with the latest issue drawings and specifications.

You'll be maintaining accurate project documentation, including work progress records, drawing registers, technical submissions, catalogues and sample approval statuses.

Other duties include

  • supervising testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems achieve the required performance standards
  • attending site meetings and working closelywith project teams and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational issues and formally witness where appropriate
  • monitoring and reporting on the master and detailed work programme in order to complete the project within the timeline.
  • reviewing RAMS and inspection schedules and completing quality and compliance checklists
  • coordinating and managing permanent and temporary utility services and infrastructure on site
  • reviewing and verifying subcontractor interim payment applications
  • monitoring site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the project programme
  • ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental and statutory requirements, including YTL Construction Policy
  • reviewing the drawings and Revit model of various trades including architectural and structural, for a smooth implementation of MEP works
  • evaluating and verifying subcontractors' interim applications and claims
  • verifying that works are carried out in accordance with approved designs and endorsed construction drawings
  • supporting the achievement of project completion and regulatory approvals, including compliance with local and other statutory authorities' requirements and the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC)
  • maintaining accurate project records and documentation, including ISO-related requirements and audit compliance
  • managing and maintaining project documentation relevant to assigned areas of responsibility
  • undertaking any other duties as required by management to support the successful delivery of projects.
  • What you'll need
  • A Diploma or a Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other equivalent fields.
  • Ideally registered with IET or other relevant professional bodies.
  • CSCS/SMSTS.
  • Detail-oriented with a good understanding of project management methodologies and engineering design principles.
  • The ability to articulate and present ideas well and thoroughly.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good at prioritising workloads.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Project, Auto CAD, Viewpoint, Revit and BIM.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc).
