What you'll do

  • Working as part of a busy team, you will be trained to use a variety of techniques and equipment to find leaks on our network.
  • Once fully trained, you will liaise with other network staff to maintain and improve the network system, as well as review flow alarms and calibrate and maintain leakage equipment.
  • As a Leak Inspector you will:
  • carry out reactive and proactive leak detection
  • monitor the leakage system and collect data
  • participate in out-of-hours standby.

What you'll need

  • You will be a driven, hardworking and self-motivated person with the ability to learn new skills.
  • You will also need:
  • to be able to work well alone or as part of a team
  • excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • good customer service skills
  • good IT skills, as you will be dealing with internal systems daily
  • a flexible approach to working hours is a must, as this role will involve planning and carrying out night work, typically once per week
  • a full driving licence is part of your role as you will be driving.
