What you\’ll do
Working as part of a busy team, you will be trained to use a variety of techniques and equipment to find leaks on our network. Once fully trained, you will liaise with other network staff about maintaining and improving the network system, as well as reviewing flow alarms and calibrating and maintaining leakage equipment.
As a Leak Inspector, you\’ll:
- carry out reactive and proactive leak detection
- monitor the leakage system and collect data
- participate in out-of-hours standby.
What you\’ll need
You will be a driven, hardworking and self-motivated person with the ability to learn new skills.
You will also need:
- to be able to work well alone or as part of a team
- excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- good customer service skills
- good IT skills, as you will be dealing with internal systems daily
- a flexible approach to working hours is a must, as this role will involve planning and carrying out night work, typically once per week
- a full driving licence, as you will be driving as part of your role.
