Are you currently working in the construction industry and have leadership experience? If so, we have a unique requirement for a Construction Repair and Maintenance Team Leader who will take responsibility for all of our sewer repairs on our wastewater assets throughout the Western Wessex Water region.

What you'll do

  • Carry out repairs to the sewer network, ensuring they meet quality and customer service standards.
  • Excavate and repair burst sewer pipes, deal with sewer collapses, or make new connections.
  • Perform landscaping and general civil works within reinstatement.
  • Work outdoors with a great team, facing different challenges every day and providing a vital service to our customers.
  • Supervise your Operatives on a day-to-day basis.

You will be working in the West of our region, which includes Minehead, Yeovil and North Somerset. Working Monday to Friday, you will be provided with a company vehicle as well as standby availability payments and an annual bonus on top of your salary.

What you'll need

  • A positive, can-do attitude and be well-organised, customer-focused and health and safety orientated.
  • Previous team-leading experience, ideally within the construction industry.
  • A valid driving licence, a current Street-works ticket and an excavator (digger) ticket.
  • Experience of pipe-laying and/or general civils work would be advantageous, as would knowledge and practical experience of ‘no-dig' repair techniques.
  • Participation in an out-of-hours standby rota is required.
