Do you have excellent decision making, reporting and communication skills? If so, we are looking for a Treatment Operator to work in our Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) team, covering areas such as Frome, Radstock and Paulton.
What you'll do
- The operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.
- Running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants.
- Ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures.
- Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times.
- Working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.
What you'll need
- Experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant.
- Electrical or mechanical experience would be desirable.
- Confined spaces training will be provided as part of the role, however you will need to be eligible to work in confined spaces. This includes suitability to wear appropriate breathing apparatus and navigating tight spaces.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a technical subject.
- A valid driving licence, ideally with category BE.
- To be flexible in your approach to work.
