Are you looking for an HGV driving role? If so, we have an opportunity as an HGV Grab Driver to support our Construction teams with the safe collection of goods and equipment from sites across the Northern part of our region.
As the HIAB/HGV Grab Driver, you’ll frequently be travelling across our region, which primarily covers Chippenham but also Bath, Trowbridge and everything in between, to deliver aggregate materials and remove waste where our construction teams are operating.
In this role, you will:
- Perform regular safety inspections on your vehicle and HIAB equipment to ensure everything is fully functional and safe.
- Load and unload aggregate materials to the necessary sites.
- Provide support to the construction teams as and when required.
The role involves driving across our region, so you will need to know the roads, as you will be involved in planning journeys with the Supervisor to ensure you take the most efficient route available.
What you’ll need:
- You will have sound knowledge and experience with the use of HIAB/HGV vehicles and will take pride in making sure your vehicle is maintained and clean at all times.
- You will also be health and safety focused at all times.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Ideally hold a street work accreditation, hygiene card and an ALLMI or NPORS qualification or equivalent.
- Possess a valid driving licence and an HGV rigid licence.
