We are seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Senior Project Engineer to oversee and monitor the overall process and operational delivery of MEP construction works.

Once home to every UK-built Concorde, the Brabazon Hangars are being repurposed into a brand-new venue for Bristol and set to be the South West's top destination for music, comedy, sports, and entertainment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-impact Major Project and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

You'll be managing the assigned projects by ensuring adherence to the required specifications, budget goals and timeline for the assigned project.

You'll oversee engineering calculations, testing and validation activities, ensuring all technical requirements are met and supporting the successful delivery of assigned project tasks.

You'll review, comment on and monitor the status of design drawings produced by consultant teams, ensuring designs align with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.

You'll also be:

  • managing the project and assisting on larger projects
  • providing training and guidance toproject engineers and other team members
  • reviewing andsupervising the development of technical skills of the team members
  • undertaking strategic project planning, including feasibility analysis, design optioneering, modelling, budgeting, space planning and developing effective solutions
  • providing detaileddesign work within the related area of mechanical, electrical and ICT
  • leading the technical design input on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained within the required and expected standard
  • managing project team performance, client relationship and related business development activities
  • reviewing BIM modelling using Revizto for an accurate and workabledesign output
  • preparingproject costing, tender documentation, tendering process, award and relevant contract administration matters
  • ensuring the BIM input and output are correct for the MEP elements and are able to generate information and quantities for verification purposes, ensuring that sub-contractors and installers implement the respective designs according to the specifications, drawings and schedules and the design intent
  • ensuring the building design complies with all the local and other accepting authority requirements and meeting the timeline to achieve the overall programme
  • collating andmanaging all the project requested ISO documents as per ISO audit requirement
  • keeping track records onall assigned project documents, RAMS commissioning records, O and M and as installed documents, including supporting the Revit model in accordance with the BEP
  • performing any other duties asassigned by the management team.

What you'll need

  • Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • CSCS/SMSTS
  • Membershipwith a relevant professional body.
  • A good level of exposure working as aproject engineer.
  • Construction site ordesign office experience.
  • Experience inmanaging a team.
  • Experience in large-scaledevelopment projects, Β£50M contract value+.
  • Experience in preconstruction, tendering and project costing and budgeting.
  • Goodproject management skills.
  • Good leadership andinterpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revizto, Viewpoint and Revit.
  • First Aid Training.
