We are seeking a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Assistant Construction Manager to join us at YTL Construction UK!

Once home to every UK-built Concorde, the Brabazon Hangars are being repurposed into a brand-new venue for Bristol and set to be the South West's top destination for music, comedy, sports, and entertainment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with hands‑on project delivery in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What you'll do

In this position, you will take responsibility for managing projects while supporting the Construction Manager.

You’ll be involved in the design, checking and calculation ofsolutions, ensuring all work meets project requirements, industry standards and quality expectations.

You’ll also

  • supervise and check design drawings produced by draughtsman
  • provide training and guidance to project engineers and engineers
  • undertake strategic project planning, including feasibility analysis, design optioneering, modelling, budgeting, space planning and developing effective solutions for various projects across public and private sectors
  • provide detaileddesign work across a broad range of projects within Mechanical, Electrical, ICT and related areas
  • lead the technical and design input on projects, ensuring work quality is maintained within the expected standard
  • manageproject management, client relationship management and related business development activities
  • review and supervise thedevelopment of technical skills of team members
  • review BIM modelling using Navisworks for an accurate and workabledesign output
  • prepareproject costing, tender documents, tendering process, award and relevant contract administration matters
  • fillup and maintain all the project requested ISO documents as per ISO audit requirement.

  • Proven experience in project engineering, construction management, or a similar project delivery role.
  • Experience withinconstruction site environments and engineering design offices.
  • Ability tolead, mentor and support junior engineers.
  • Experiencecontributing to large and complex development projects.
  • Knowledge ofproject costing, budgeting and cost control.
  • Strongorganisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Officeapplications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Excellentcommunication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able towork independently and collaboratively as part of a wider project team.
