We are looking for an electrically qualified technician with industrial work experience to help us maintain a diverse variety of plant machinery and equipment.
What you'll do
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Attending breakdowns using fault-finding skills
- Reporting on asset condition
- Making modifications to control philosophy where needed
- Managing personal stock and critical spares
- Identifying how improvements could be made to save money and improve functionality
- Covering out-of-hours callouts on a one-in-four rota
What you'll need
- Advantageous to have worked in an industrial setting, being conversant with relay and ladder logic, level control, pressure transducers, motor control centres, three-phase power, motors and power distribution
- The ability to work with minimal direct supervision, however, you will receive support through various forms of communication
- A Level 3 Electrical NVQ/City & Guilds qualification or equivalent (ideally)
- Mechanical gearbox and automated penstock experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Knowledge of EMI plant operations/maintenance strategy
- Knowledge of technical design standards and WIMES (beneficial)
- Awareness and knowledge of IT and health and safety
- A confined space working certificate
- Technical knowledge and experience
- A can-do attitude and flexible approach to work
- The ability to work in a pressurised environment day and night
- A full UK driving licence
