If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our water recycling treatment team as a Flow Measurement Manager. In this role, you will travel across Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater, and everything in between. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with MCERTS, the Environment Agency's Monitoring Certification Scheme. MCERTS applies to a range of waste monitoring activities, including flow measurement, sampling, laboratory analysis, and flare stack emissions. It was introduced to ensure monitoring equipment is accurate, reliable, and fit for purpose—so that data used for regulatory reporting and compliance can be trusted. The scheme covers equipment, installation, and management systems.
As a Flow Measurement Manager, you will lead a team of six Technicians who install, commission, and maintain flow measurement equipment across our water recycling centres, water treatment works, and pumping stations. You will ensure all work meets the stringent standards.
What you'll do:
- Ensure all tasks carried out by the team prioritise health and safety at all times.
- Help drive the business forward by implementing cost-saving initiatives, operating within budget, and supporting the achievement of targets.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, support, and guidance to your team.
- Work closely with the team to regularly monitor health and safety, performance, outstanding work, and compliance.
- Liaise and coordinate with support services, including Environmental Engineers, Buyers, contractors, and HR.
- Manage team HR and training records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Ensure MCERTS maintenance and inspections are completed, with updates provided to the compliance team.
- Engage with the team to carry out routine verification of installations.
- Control and authorise on-site flow measurement amendments.
- Manage flow measurement budgets effectively.
