The position offers an opportunity to be part of a forward‑thinking team working with a variety of equipment, assets and processes. You will have the opportunity to embrace curiosity and develop new skills outside of your normal day to day activities.

What you'll do:

  • Every day is different, you will be working in all weather conditions carrying out a range of tasks, to ensure the essential functions of our Bioresources treatment centres.
  • Your day‑to‑day will include:
    • monitoring process performance, both out in the field and in the control room, using SCADA systems
    • performing routine maintenance
    • taking operational samples
    • optimising performance inline with key performance indicators
    • collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
    • ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of yourself, colleagues, and the public at all times

You will work an 11‑hour day shift pattern of four days on, four days off. Your working hours will include weekends as well as performing standby duties on a regular basis and providing emergency cover if required.

Qualifications:

  • Have a valid full UK manual driving licence
  • Able to participate in a Shift & Standby rota
  • Comfortable working with sewage
  • Undertake mandatory and upskilling training
  • Demonstrate the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role
  • Possess a positive outlook and the ability to work independently as well as within a team, and to solve problems and improve efficiency
