Waste Telemetry Coordinator in Bath

Our Control Room is the operational heartbeat of Wessex Water, monitoring all sites remotely, 24/7, 365 days a year, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers. We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team of dedicated Waste Telemetry Coordinators.

In this fast‑paced role, you will manage alarms and incidents, support key operational functions, and work closely with emergency services, regulatory bodies, operational teams and IT. You will play a vital part in maintaining service continuity, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring, analysing and scheduling telemetry alarms in a busy and high‑pressure environment
• Working closely with the Waste and Regional Operations Controllers to support critical control room functions
• Liaising with emergency services, regulatory bodies, local authorities and a wide range of operational management and staff
• Enacting backup processes and liaising with IT during critical system issues
• Working with Operations and IT in pursuit of alarm optimisation, which requires an in‑depth understanding of our telemetry systems
• Troubleshooting a wide range of ad hoc requests, operational activities, and emergency issues
• Liaising with customers, expectation management and managing customer incidents
• Planning and organising all tasks to maintain regulatory compliance, reduce risk and cost, and obtain maximum efficiency

You will be working a rotating shift pattern between 6am and 12am, Monday to Sunday, with periodic 24‑hour standby. You'll benefit from built‑in annual leave and regular extended breaks.
