We’re on the lookout for a proactive, confident HR Adviser to join our vibrant People team. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in supporting some of the most exciting and fast‑growing parts of our business – from building communities with YTL Construction, to redefining entertainment at YTL Live Arena, and driving innovation with YTL Developments. This is a regional role based in Bristol, with travel across the South West and occasional visits to our Bath office. No two days will be the same – you’ll be at the heart of shaping our people experience and helping our teams thrive.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll provide hands‑on support across a range of HR activities, helping to embed best practices and drive employee engagement and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with managers and teams to ensure HR processes are aligned with operational needs. What you’ll do:
- Be the go‑to HR expert for your business areas, offering consistent, practical advice and support
- Coach and empower people managers to lead confidently and deliver people‑focused solutions
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance, and absence management ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies
- Use data and insights to spot trends, drive improvements, and demonstrate commercial awareness
- Help drive engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion across all areas of the business
- Support the HR Business Partner in delivering strategic HR initiatives across the business areas
What you’ll need:
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
- Experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in construction or a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law as well as a curiosity to keep up to date with industry best practice
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving with the ability to negotiate or influence successful outcomes in a commercially driven environment
- To be a highly effective communicator and relationship builder at all levels of the business
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with experience of working within a fast‑paced, agile environment
- A willingness to travel to offices and sites across the South West area as required
