IT Project Manager in Bath

As the Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of project delivery teams, typically around 20 people, in a matrix management environment.
• Liaise with other subject matter experts, both internal and external, to ensure the solutions delivered align with our IT strategy and standards.
• Forecast and control costs, typically up to a value of £10m.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in project planning and implementation approaches, as well as governance and control.

For this role, you will need:

• Sound knowledge of industry best-practice project management standards and tools, including Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops or similar.
• Good knowledge of IT design, build and test standards.
• Experience with process improvement and driving change.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex IT concepts or issues into business language.
• A sound understanding of business analysis, change and process mapping.
• A track record of leading and managing medium to large IT projects.
• The ability to plan and prioritise workloads across multiple concurrent activities.
• Detailed knowledge of creating and maintaining plans and backlogs.
• A sound understanding and application of risk and issue management.
• Advanced facilitation and communication skills.
• Good influencing and problem-solving skills.
• IT project management accreditation, such as PRINCE2, APM, Agile SCRUM or MSP.
• A degree in a related subject is desirable.
• Experience in delivering large work management platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics (desirable).
