Threadneedles hotel is located in a Grade II Listed building from 1856 where City & Midland bank was located. With a unique architecture with a handmade glass window dome in our main lobby; the historic of Threadneedles make us unique to create treasured moment to our guests.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager; as Duty Manager you will be playing an important role in ensuring our guest journey runs like clockwork. From allocating the perfect room, to organising amenities, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests stay is one to remember. As Duty Manager you will also be responsible for the reception and porter team, offering assistance and your knowledge to help build our teams knowledge further, to ensure our guest service levels exceed all expectations.

Other duties will involve:

  • Being the first responder in the event of an emergency or any guest incidents throughout the hotel, ensuring they are dealt with in an efficient manner
  • Supporting all departments when needed with guest queries and people support
  • Working with the management team and HOD’s across the hotel to support the efficient running of all departments
  • Promoting strong interdepartmental relations throughout the hotel
  • Acting as a champion for fire and health & safety procedures
  • Demonstrating ability to drive business and promote all the services at the hotel to a very high standard
  • Lobby presence to meet and greet guests with warmth and answering any queries they may have
  • Lobby management during busy periods to ensure enough coverage for a smooth operation

CANDIDATE PROFILE

You will have full rights for permission to work within the UK. We are unfortunately unable to assist with any Visa application processes. Previous Duty Manager or Shift Leader experience is preferred. Applications will be accepted from experienced Receptionists from 4 or 5 star hotels looking to take a step up to management. You have the ability to personalise every guest interaction with a warm and genuine interest. You’re capable of making quick decisions, ones which you’re sure are the best course of action for both our guests and associates alike. Knowledge of Opera is preferred, but is not essential.

LOCATION

Primarily based at Threadneedles Hotel, you may be required to work at our sister properties from time to time. The Academy Hotel and Monkey Island Estate are based in London and Bray.

WORKING HOURS

4 days on, 4 days off. Shift times from 07:00 to 19:00. Two 30 minutes breaks during your shift.
