In this role, you will oversee and deliver all site management activities for the arena project, monitoring progress, reviewing performance and contributing to improved plans, processes and procedures. You will play a key part in upholding and embedding YTL Construction UK’s ethos of “Building the Right Thing,” helping to shape systems, behaviours and outcomes that reflect our commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation.

What you will do:

  • Support the Site Management team and external partners, ensuring effective teamwork and maintaining the highest Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to others, helping drive successful project delivery across the team.
  • Support short and long-term planning by monitoring programmes, setting build milestones and overseeing daily site activities.
  • Drive a strong health and safety culture, maintaining robust QA procedures, keeping accurate records and ensuring work complies with technical designs and manufacturers' requirements.

  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and the wider supply chain through regular communication, meetings and workshops.
  • Manage risks, logistics planning, temporary utilities, site support resources (e.g., forklifts and cranes) and all materials, including call-offs, protection and tracking.
  • Produce required reports, weekly returns and project documentation while supporting site meetings and ensuring high standards of tidiness and presentation every day.

What you will need:

  • Solid, hands-on experience in the construction industry, with a strong track record of delivering commercial projects.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence key decisions and drive successful outcomes on major proposals and project work.
  • A strong technical understanding of the design and construction process for commercial developments, including relevant standards, codes and legislation.
  • SMSTS and CSCS accreditations, with willingness to train for roles such as Appointed Person, Temporary Works Coordinator, Fire Marshal and other required competencies.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships, with strong influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., 4Projects) and site control tools such as Oculo and Field View.
  • Experience using project controls and planning tools to manage deliverables, along with a good working knowledge of construction contracts and professional appointments.
  • Strong self-management skills, prioritising workloads and working with high-level delegation.
  • Clear and adaptable communication skills across presentations, reports and meetings.
  • The ability to manage individuals and teams to achieve project goals.
