At YTL Construction UK, we are continually looking to improve health and safety across the organisation. We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a self-motivated and dedicated health and safety professional to join our Health and Safety team in a site-based role, with opportunities for career progression.

What you\'ll do

  • Act as a role model for health and safety, driving a strong “speak up” safety culture and leading continual improvement.
  • Work as part of the site team, providing guidance and support, identifying opportunities for improvement, proactive interventions, and sharing best practices.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, identify trends, and ensure compliance with legislation and the YTL Construction Health and Safety Management system.
  • Provide support and guidance to Site teams, employees, and supply chain partners on health and safety on-site.
  • Investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to identify root causes, implement remedial action, and share lessons learned.
  • Achieve and monitor targets and KPIs; identify trends and propose improvement ideas.
  • Develop and present monthly reports; work collaboratively with other Health and Safety team members.
  • Support, monitor, and maintain safe working practices in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager, Site teams, and contractors to ensure safe delivery on-site.

What you\'ll need

  • NEBOSH General, Construction Certificate, or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Health and safety experience within civil engineering and construction environments (preferable).
  • Experience working in a team environment and developing systems to support cultural development.
  • Ability to undertake statistical analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Hazard identification and risk mitigation processes; understanding of ISO45001 (preferable).
  • Ability to challenge decisions constructively and understand complex tasks; ability to produce informative reports.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Full clean UK driving licence (due to remote nature of the role).

There is a requirement to work closely with the YTL Construction Health and Safety Manager, Site teams, and contractors.
