Tooling Engineer – CNC Experience Bridgwater £37,000 – £45,000 This hands-on role combines precision tooling fabrication with maintenance support for machinery and facilities. The role plays a key part in ensuring tools are ready and machines in good working order to support production agility, equipment reliability, and site safety. Tasks and responsibilities * Tool Fabrication: Manufacture and refurbish tooling to technical drawings using manual and CNC workshop equipment. Deliver to specification, on time, and to quality standards. * Tool Design and Development: Collaborate with design teams to interpret engineering drawings and develop new tooling solutions that support evolving products, machinery, and processes. * Maintenance Activities: Perform planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery and facilities equipment. Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs to minimise disruption. * Innovation and Problem Solving: Provide timely, creative engineering solutions to manufacturing challenges. Propose and implement innovations to improve tooling and production processes. You\’ll need to have hands on experience with planned and reactive maintenance of industrial machinery and facilities equipment. You\’ll need to also showcase skills in the following; * Manual and CNC milling and turning * Attention to detail and specification adherence * Task prioritistion and time management * Effective problem-solving and decision-making * Clear communication and collaboration * Initiative and innovation mindset The role is 8.30am to 16.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 1pm finish on Fridays.
