I am representing a high-growth company that is currently redefining the boundaries of portable quantum technology. Following a major research contract win, they are looking for a hands-on Electronics Systems Engineer.
This is a "UK eyes only" role due to the nature of the projects. It is an ideal move for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment.
The Role: Impact & Responsibility
- Systems Design: Collaborate with scientists to translate complex quantum requirements into high-performance electronic hardware.
- Circuit Development: Own the full lifecycle of low-noise analog and digital circuits, from initial concept to PCB layout and prototyping.
- Control Systems: Implement and refine data acquisition systems for experimental hardware.
- Hardware Optimisation: Debug and optimise complex electronic systems to ensure mission-critical reliability.
- Cross-Disciplinary Work: Integrate next-generation quantum devices with robust electronic control platforms.
Essential:
- Education: BSc/MSc in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (PhD or Systems Engineering background is highly valued).
- Experience: 3+ years of commercial experience in high-performance electronics design and prototyping.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in analog & digital circuit design and PCB layout.
- Preferred Tech: Experience with GHz RF circuits or high-speed digital systems is highly desirable.
- Domain Interest: A background (or interest) in cold atom physics, FPGA development, or quantum sensors/computing.
