Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Due to exciting expansion, a rapidly growing, high-tech company, is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their thriving engineering business in Bristol.
Your role will involve:
- Managing roadmap projects to improve capacity and capability.
- Communicating, documenting and reporting on work to the wider company.
- Facilitating good design for manufacturability by collaborating with the product design team.
- Design of fixtures and tools for medium-volume manufacturing.
- Developing predictable manufacturing processes using preventative, predictive, active, and informative controls.
- Running a tender process for new machines.
- Working with suppliers and integrators to develop robust manufacturing processes.
- Defining requirements for factory and site acceptance tests for new machines and managing/taking ownership until completion.
- CNC programming for medium volume manufacturing.
- Cutting tool selection and running machining trials.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least one year\’s worth of experience in manufacturing in at least one of our core processes: 3D metal printing, turning, milling, grinding, honing or assembly and test.
- Ability to work with digital tools, including high computer literacy and familiarity with Office and databases.
- Good understanding of manufacturing capability by process.
- Solid foundation in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Organized and detail oriented with strong and structured problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in setting up new processes.
- Proficient in using a CAD package.
