We are looking for a Machining Setter to join a dedicated Night Shift team with a company in Darlaston. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our production process, supporting high-tech, multi-axis machining centres and advanced robotic equipment. The role is looking for someone to take ownership of machine performance, drive process improvements, and coach team members within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide vital first-line technical support to troubleshoot issues and minimise machine downtime.
  • Setup & Changeovers: Efficiently complete product and machine changeovers to maintain smooth production flows.
  • Process Development: Actively support continuous improvement by developing both machining processes and tooling.
  • Maintenance: Implement and maintain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks for both machines and fixtures to ensure equipment longevity.
  • Team Coaching: Train and coach operators to enhance team skill sets and maintain high operational standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • Technical Aptitude: Experience working with multi-axis machining centres and/or robotic equipment is highly desirable.
  • Mindset: A strong team player who is equally comfortable working on their own initiative.
  • Commitment to Growth: A positive attitude toward learning and development.
  • Flexibility: While this is a night shift role, you must be willing to work on the day shift for periods of specific training, further education, and external assessments as required.
