About the Company

My client is a pioneering R&D and product design company operating at the absolute forefront of advanced technology. Based at a state-of-the-art facility in Cranfield, they develop next-generation hardware solutions that push engineering boundaries. If you thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments where your technical expertise directly impacts real-world hardware, this is the team for you.

The Role

As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in our development lifecycle. You will take ownership of validating and testing high-voltage, high-frequency electronic systems. From sub-assemblies to final product verification, you will ensure our cutting-edge hardware meets rigorous performance and reliability standards. This role blends hands-on lab work, schematic analysis, complex component-level fault-finding, and accurate data reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Testing: Support the end-to-end hardware validation of complex electronic sub-assemblies and final products.
  • Specialised Validation: Set up and execute test protocols for products utilising High Voltage (HV) and High Frequency (HF) environments, alongside Thermal Chamber Testing.
  • Component-Level Fault Finding: Read schematics fluently and diagnose complex electronic assemblies down to component level when failures occur.
  • Data Analysis: Record, analyze, and document test data accurately to drive design improvements and product quality.
  • Lab Management: Utilize bench equipment including DVMs, Oscilloscopes, dataloggers, AC & DC programmable power supplies, etc.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven Experience: A solid background in product, hardware, or electronics validation/testing.
  • Schematics & Diagnostics: Excellent ability to interpret complex electronic schematics and conduct deep-dive hardware troubleshooting.
  • High Voltage/Frequency: Prior experience or strong familiarity with high-voltage and high-frequency testing environments.
  • Bench Competency: Masterful use of standard lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Dataloggers, PSUs).
  • Software (Preferred): LabVIEW experience is a major plus, though not essential.

Whats on Offer? My client offers a collaborative, innovative work environment where your contributions are highly visible and rewarded.

Work-Life Balance: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, plus a coveted early finish on Fridays to kickstart your weekend.

On-site Perks: Free on-site parking at our modern Cranfield facility.
