FPGA DSP Engineer

Overview

YT Tech are on the lookout for a FPGA engineer for a company in Malvern. The company is in the defence industry and is looking for someone to contribute with design and development of system and subsystems and RF signal processing, while managing their own workload and mentoring junior staff. The role requires proximity to Malvern as the team is being built there and you will be onsite three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of FPGA-based systems and subsystems with RF signal processing.
• Mentor junior staff and manage own workload.
• Write automated VHDL testbenches to verify designs.
• Debug embedded systems comprising hardware, software and firmware (FPGA designs).
• Design/integrate firmware for high-speed standards (e.g., PCIe, JESD204B, 10GBASE-X, 25GBASE-X).

Qualifications

• FPGA design experience using VHDL. Verilog design experience is not essential but must be able to integrate/debug third-party designs components written in Verilog.
• Experience in designing/integrating firmware for high-speed standards (PCIe, JESD204B, 10GBASE-X, 25GBASE-X).
• SC Clearance Essential.
