We’re expanding our commercial team and looking for a driven Rental Sales Manager to lead rental growth across the Northern Region. This role suits someone who thrives in a technical sales environment, understands complex customer challenges, and knows how to navigate Tier 1 contractors, utilities, and industrial markets with confidence.
About the Role
You’ll take ownership of developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and positioning Xylem’s rental solutions to solve real-world water challenges. Expect a mix of strategic planning, hands-on customer engagement, and commercial execution – all with the aim of growing market share and supporting long-term partnerships.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and developing a strong portfolio of customers and prospects across Scotland and the Northern Region.
- Building influential relationships with Tier 1 contractors, utilities, and key stakeholders.
- Understanding customer requirements and aligning them with the right technical solution from our rental portfolio.
- Proactively identifying new opportunities, delivering quotations/tenders, and driving consistent pipeline growth.
- Translating market insight, competitor activity, and customer feedback into actionable sales strategies.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, ensuring visibility of opportunities, funnels, and account plans.
- Partnering with internal teams and third-party contractors to deliver best-in-class customer outcomes.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical or commercial field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years in technical, industrial, or solution-based sales (water or utilities background advantageous).
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical solutions.
- Proven success in account development, strategic sales planning, and closing opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across customer types and levels.
- Full UK driving licence (Category B).
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
