- Ideally have experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age and ability to relate well to children and adults.
- Ideally have experience of working with children with emotional, behavioural and social communication difficulties.
- Complete an induction programme.

- Have a basic understanding of the use of technology: computer, video, photocopier.
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
