This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about developing pupils, igniting the spark for education and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. You will combine your role as an outstanding Nursery practitioner with a developing leadership responsibility as Deputy ALNCo, working closely with colleagues to strengthen our inclusive practice across the school. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership experience, knowledge of ALN and whole-school provision, with clear opportunities for professional growth.

  • Has high expectations for all pupils and believes passionately in removing barriers to learning.
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Is committed to developing pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Understands the importance of early identification and effective support for children with additional learning needs.
  • Is reflective, organised and willing to take initiative.
  • Has the ambition and capacity to develop their leadership skills and contribute to whole-school improvement.
  • Is keen to work collaboratively and contribute positively to our school culture.

What We Can Offer You

We are a welcoming, inclusive and ambitious school where relationships matter and every pupil is valued. You will benefit from:

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team.
  • A purposeful and focused working environment.
  • The opportunity to make a significant difference to children at the very beginning of their educational journey.
  • A role that combines high-quality teaching with meaningful leadership responsibility.
  • Clear opportunities to develop your leadership skills and progress professionally.
  • Support and professional development from experienced leaders.
  • The opportunity to develop your expertise in ALN and contribute to whole-school inclusive practice.
  • A school that is committed to developing both its pupils and its staff.

Our Vision

We believe that education should activate curiosity, build confidence and open doors. For our youngest pupils, this starts with creating an environment where children feel safe, welcomed and excited to learn. We want every child to discover what they can achieve and to develop the foundations that will enable them to flourish throughout their education. As Deputy ALNCo and Nursery Class Teacher, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in this work - developing pupils, supporting colleagues and developing yourself as an emerging leader.
