Join the YRH Finance Team as a part‑time financial controller in St Albans. We are looking for a detailed‑oriented, commercially‑mindful professional to lead the finance function and provide clearer visibility around the financials on a part‑time basis.
Location: 2/3 days per week.
Rate: ÂŁ35 per hour.
About the role: Support our SMEs in St Albans and surrounding areas, delivering tailored financial support. The role involves leading the finance function, preparing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, cash‑flow and profit forecasting, and ensuring appropriate financial controls.
About You: You should be a qualified and experienced financial controller, preferably self‑employed and available quickly with at least two days per week. You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) and have experience managing a finance team.
- Preparation of management accounts/reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cash‑flow and profit forecasting
- Experience with Xero (and exposure to Sage50, QuickBooks)
- Assessment and implementation of appropriate financial controls
- Commercially experienced
- Year‑end processes (but not statutory accounts)
- Advanced Excel skills incl. pivots, SUMIFS and graphs
- Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non‑financial leaders
