An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to support our clients in Manchester and surrounding areas on a part‑time basis. As a Senior Bookkeeper for The Part‑Time Finance People, you will provide SME clients with a tailored financial support service to help address barriers in their accounting process while preparing and explaining financial information that positively impacts profit and cash flow.
You should be an experienced Senior Bookkeeper/Finance Manager with a passion for supporting SMEs. Ideally, you are already self‑employed, with at least 2 days of availability per week.
- Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
- Credit control and debtor reporting to directors
- Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
- Drafting payment runs for approval
- Supplier reconciliations
- Bank postings and reconciliations
- Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
- VAT returns
- Payroll (possibly) and pension administration
- Month‑end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
- Experience with Xero (ideally with QuickBooks and Sage50 as well)
Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour
Hours: 2 days per week
Location: Manchester (onsite)
