You'll provide robust financial management while delivering meaningful commercial insights that support growth, profitability, and cash flow. \n This is a client-facing, self-employed role requiring a minimum commitment of two days per week onsite in Warrington and the surrounding areas to build effective working relationships and provide hands-on support. \n \n What You'll Be Doing \n Financial Reporting & Commercial Insight \n \n Prepare and present monthly management accounts and board packs. \n Deliver meaningful KPI reporting and performance analysis. \n Analyse revenue, margins, profitability, stock performance, and operational costs. \n Provide commercial recommendations to improve profitability and business performance. \n Support leadership teams by translating financial data into practical actions. \n \n Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow Management \n \n Lead budgeting and annual planning processes. \n Produce rolling forecasts and scenario planning models. \n Identify risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers. \n Support strategic planning and investment decisions. \n Provide financial challenge and support around key business decisions. \n Assist with growth planning, pricing strategies, profitability reviews, and investment opportunities. \n Build confidence in financial reporting across the wider business. \n \n Financial Controls & Process Improvement \n \n Review and strengthen financial controls and governance. \n Improve reporting processes and finance systems. \n Drive continuous improvement and finance best practice. \n \n Team Leadership \n \n Support, develop, and mentor existing finance team members where required. \n Review work and help maintain high standards across finance operations. \n \n \n What We're Looking For \n Essential Skills & Experience \n \n ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience. \n Minimum 3 years' UK-based experience working as a Financial Controller. \n Strong management accounting and board reporting experience. \n Excellent commercial awareness and business partnering skills. \n Experience improving financial controls, processes, and reporting. \n Strong working knowledge of Xero. n Available to attend client sites in Warrington and the surrounding areas for a minimum of two days per week. \n Financial modelling and scenario planning expertise. \n Experience leading or developing finance teams. \n Communicates complex financial information in a straightforward way. \n \n \n \n About The Part-Time Finance People \n At The Part-Time Finance People, we help ambitious SME owners build more profitable, scalable, and enjoyable businesses. \n Our approach goes beyond traditional finance support.
