Artworker / Preflight Operator (Packaging Artworker)

Location: Head office, York (Onsite)

We have an exciting opportunity in our Artwork / Preflight department at our head office in York. We’re seeking a talented Artworker / Preflight Operator to join our team and support FMCG packaging projects from Preflight through to final artwork.

About the role

The successful candidate will prepare packaging artworks from design files, ensure accuracy of all elements, and deliver pdf’s for client approval. The role involves direct collaboration with clients and using YRG Group’s in-house MIS system.

Requirements

Essential:

Strong understanding of packaging types and artwork builds for FMCG brands

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (minimum 2 years)

Ability to work directly with clients

Attention to detail and strong preflight checking skills

Desirable:

Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Daily tasks

Preflight design files to ensure all elements are correct

Convert design files into finished packaging artworks

Conduct quality checks on files for client approval

Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve issues

Update and maintain project status in the MIS system
