Edinburgh Young Carers is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified applicant to co‑coordinate our awareness‑raising, training and support to schools and Higher Education (HE)/Further Education (FE) establishments across Edinburgh, with the aim to develop whole‑school, sustainable approaches in the identification of, and support to, young carers.
Contract: Full‑time (35 hours per week). Temporary Post to end March 2028.
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £29,756 per annum
The post‑holder will support the delivery and development of the ‘We Care: Schools for Young Carers’ award to schools across Edinburgh, and nationwide, and will work in partnership with Capital Carers and Space to ensure consistent delivery of schools and HE/FE work across the four localities of the City.
Candidate requirements include:
- Experience working with children and young people in formal or informal education settings;
- Experience of project set‑up, management and reporting;
- Proven ability to develop and deliver presentations and run training events/workshops for young people and professionals.
