Responsibilities

Supporting Young People: build trusting relationships with young people aged 16–29, mentoring them to set goals, build confidence, and explore their potential.

Programme Delivery: run and help design engaging workshops that develop leadership, employability, and life skills, fostering resilience and a positive mindset.

Community Engagement & Partnerships: be a welcoming point of contact, build local partnerships, and advocate for young people to access services and opportunities.

Safeguarding & Administration: ensure safeguarding policies are followed, maintain accurate records, and support outreach and recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

A degree or equivalent qualification in YouthWork, YouthEngagement, Community Development or Information, Advice and Guidance.

Proven experience of working with young adults especially those from a disadvantaged or vulnerable background.

Experience of planning, delivering and supporting programmes or employability initiatives.

Experience of developing workshops and sessions to aid the development of programme participants.

Experience of working with external partners including statutory services.

Demonstrable experience of providing customer facing advice (IAG, mentoring, 1-1)

Good knowledge of safeguarding practices and policies

Good written and verbal skills.

Ability to work cooperatively with others.

Able to convey information in an understandable and engaging manner.

Knowledge and sensitivity towards diversity issues and a natural affinity with young people.

A good communicator at all levels. .

Good level of IT expertise i.e. MS Office software packages.
