They are looking for a Comedy & Drama teacher to join their brand‑new academy launching this April. You’ll guide students aged 6–18 through a wide mix of styles and techniques – from improv and stand‑up to Shakespeare, contemporary text, immersive theatre and devised work. The role requires energy, creativity and a genuine love of the craft. To thrive you’ll need either several years of professional experience or a relevant Performing Arts degree paired with hands‑on industry work. Experience teaching young people is essential. You should be committed to youth drama training, not just filling time between acting jobs.
Qualifications
- Professional teaching experience with young people
- Relevant Performing Arts degree OR several years of industry experience
- Professionalism, punctuality and a passion for ongoing development
Responsibilities
- Deliver freelance lessons weekly on Saturdays (41 sessions per year) at Craigsfarm Community Hub, Livingston, West Lothian, from 8:45 am – 12:30 pm.
- Prepare and teach sessions, including planning creative projects and exploring different genres.
- Maintain a safe, engaging learning environment; a PVG check is required as part of safer recruiting.
