Edinburgh Playhouse are recruiting their next cohort of Edinburgh Playhouse Young Ambassadors for young people aged 14-18 years old. This is a two year long experience where they are looking for people interested in different forms of theatre, job roles and experiences. They love having young voices at the heart of what they do and as a young ambassador you can join them to represent all things Edinburgh Playhouse.

You will get the chance to take part in exclusive access to careers in theatre, backstage, dress rehearsals and meet some of the creatives behind upcoming shows. Cohort One group experienced a technical insights day with Moulin Rouge, exclusive education day and live performance with Hamilton, special effects make up design workshop based on Rocky Horror and performance workshops with Billie Kerr who played Queen Katherine of Aragon in SIX the Musical.

Launch Date: 9 February 2026

Deadline for Applications: 9 March 2026

Start date: W/C 13 April 2026

This year-long project aims to give young people the tools, skills and understanding of all aspects of theatre to help them with future careers and interests. In turn, the Young Ambassadors will share their ideas and help shape future projects. Workshops will be held on Saturday mornings and school holidays from Apr 2026 – Mar 2027.

Please note this opportunity is in extremely high demand and they will not be able to offer everyone a place on the programme. Please see the programme and application form on their website.

Cost: £185 for full year. Payment plans and bursaries are available.
