We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team, managing our exciting new mentoring service - Brighter Tomorrow.
What difference will you make?
As the Operations Manager, you will ensure that our Brighter Tomorrow service delivers a high quality, high impact service, which is aimed at those who are aged between 16-26, pose little or no risk to the public and who want to be mentored, upskilled or coached. We want to support people who are open to advice and want to turn their life around.
What are we looking for?
- Must have experience in running a mentoring type programme, or working in an environment where the process of going through a mentoring service is well understood.
- Be able to problem solve, think on their feet and provide solutions at pace.
- Must be able to follow processes and procedures and be proactive in identifying areas of improvement.
- Must have experience of managing people.
- Must be professional and have worked in a client facing environment.
- Ideally have experience of working with young people.
- Ideally have experience of engaging or working with Volunteers.
- Understand safeguarding requirements.
- UK charity experience of working in a small charity would be useful.

What will you be doing?
As Operations Manager, you will manage our Brighter Tomorrow services, leading on the day-to-day operations and improving processes as necessary as we are currently piloting the service with our partners.
Your role will involve:
- Leading the Brighter Tomorrow service for Youth Mix.
- Day-to-day management of the Brighter Tomorrow service.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the service and that mentor and mentee expectations are met.
- Working with our partner organisations to ensure questions and processes are understood.
- Ensuring policies are followed, specifically safeguarding controls are followed to protect our young people who use the service.
- Working with the Mentor Liaison Officer to ensure mentors are supported.
- Ensuring any issues or concerns are escalated to the Chief of Staff or CEO appropriately.
- Ensuring all documentation for Brighter Tomorrow are up to date and amended if necessary.
- Taking part in the monthly catch-up meetings to report on progress.
- Supporting other members of the team if required.
